Liberty High School, established in 1987 and a part of Academy School District 20, offers education to students in grades nine through 12. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and has an enrollment of more than 1,400 students. Its curriculum includes language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, foreign languages, industrial technology, and computers and physical education. The various extracurricular activities offered by the school include student council, the National Honor Society, jazz band, chorus, orchestra, geography and spelling bee, arts and music competitions, and debate and essay contests. The school also undertakes special counseling sessions for students suffering from stress, emotional disturbance and anxiety problems. The additional services offered by the school include transportation, career planning and health education. It provides various sports activities to students, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, football, cross country, gymnastics, hockey, swimming and diving, wrestling, golf and lacrosse.
