Dr. Strickland grew up in Milwaukee, Wisc. and attended Northwestern University for her undergraduate degree. After college, she spent a year doing a volunteer program with Jesuit Volunteer Corps in San Francisco.She returned to Wisconsin for medical school and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and University of Wisconsin-Madison respectively. Following residency, she took a faculty job at Boston University School of Medicine, where she worked at an FQHC, and taught full spectrum family medicine to BU medical students.She loved Boston, but has found her home in Colorado. She spends her free time hanging out with her husband, children and their dog, preferably outdoors.
