History
My legal practice started in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then I moved to Denver, Colorado on or about 1993. I have practiced in Colorado since then. My legal practice started in the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office and then by representing both children and/or their parents in Tulsa County Juvenile Court. I also represented parties in divorces and custody actions. Those included habeas corpus cases and cases impacted by the Indian Child Welfare Act. I was actively involved in pro bono work including representing a person on Oklahoma death row. I, with assistance, was instrumental in getting my client off death row. I also represented a group of Osage Indians in a federal court effort to obtain voting rights for Osage Indians within their tribal government. This was before the subsequent legislative changes that corrected the disparity in voting and representation rights within the Osage Tribal government. My primary focus now is with family law cases.
