Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization sponsored by corporate and individual contributors that reaches nearly 6.6 million students worldwide. Through age-appropriate curricula, its programs begin at the elementary-school level, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers. Junior Achievement programs continue through the middle and high school grades, preparing students for future economic and workforce issues they will face. Volunteers, educators, parents and contributors help the organization. Colorado Springs, Colo., is the organization s worldwide headquarters from which it provides support for Junior Achievement operations in the United States and nearly 100 other countries.
