Pedal to Properties
Pedal to Properties began from an idea to enhance the home-buying experience by offering buyers a unique way to see neighborhoods. Two realtors brought their idea to life in Boulder, Colorado, when they opened the first Pedal to Properties office with a handful of clients and 10 bikes. Three years later, the company owned 50 bikes, had four brokers and maintained a database of 10, 000 contacts. Today, Pedal to Properties is a recognized brand that has garnered attention from national media including, The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, MSNBC, ABC News, the Sunset Magazine, Fortune Small Business, and many others. Why? Because the company and its realtors provide buyers a perspective of a home and a neighborhood that they might not see from a car. While Pedal to Properties is a full-service agency with all the traditional real estate services a buyer or seller expects, the concept dovetails with national trends that suggest buyers are placing more importance on shorter commute times and finding a home near urban centers and public transportation. Pedal to Properties' was founded by Matt Kolb, a realtor with 15 years of experience. Recently, Tim Majors, an Australian business man who had toured homes with Pedal to Properties' Kolb via the bike option, approached Kolb about investing in the firm and applying his experience in expanding businesses on a national scale. Majors is now a 50% partner in Pedal to Properties. Pedal to Properties is more than an optional opportunity to tour neighborhoods by bikes. It is a company with a recognizable brand, systems and support that attracts top-performing realtors who are connecting with today's eco- and health-conscious home buyers and sellers.
