History
In Spring of 1999, a resident of Fort Collins made a request to Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso to send a Buddhist teacher to Fort Collins, and so in September a teacher was sent and Heruka Buddhist Center was established. The teachings come from Buddha. They passed through an unbroken lineage of realized teachers such as Chandrakirti, Shantideva, Atisha, and Je Tsongkhapa, right down to Geshe Kelsang and our present-day teachers. We emphasize giving only teachings that have been handed down from Buddha, so that you can know that they are authentic.
