Fountation City Government administers to the city of Fountain, Colo., known as America's Millennium City and named 2002 All-America City. Located at the base of Pikes Peak, part of the rugged Rocky Mountain range, Fountain, Colo., has the amenities of urban living at its doorstep, yet still has the advantages of neighborly living in a small town atmosphere. The city is located 10 miles south of Colorado Springs, Colo., and 30 miles north of Pueblo, Colo. Residents enjoy the scenic view of Pikes Peak. The city of Fountain offers prime access to major transportation routes, water availability, modestly-priced real estate (including small and large, available buildings), an excellent school system, a mild climate, a quality work force and unsurpassed recreational opportunities. The city government functions through resident taxes and provides water, sewer, police and fire services. It also oversees the city's park facilities and recreational activities.
