Located on the Dolores River, the Dolores Public Library plays a leading role in the community as a meeting place, a technology center and a place to relax and read. The facility was built in 2004 and is conveniently located near local schools and next door to the post office. The library offers a wide range of promotional activities and programs including Story Time, Community Yoga, Spanish Conversation Hour, and more. There are 13 computer workstations as well as laptops available for loan. The internet consists of two T-1 lines and free Wifi. Fax and copies are available. There are no fees for any services or overdues. Donations are welcome. The primary source of funding is property tax (82%) and a mill levy.
