Founded in 1896, Denver Zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals representing over 700 species, including mammals, invertebrates, birds, and amphibians and reptiles. It also offers various types of fish and plants, which include bamboos, fruit trees and ornamental grasses. It provides endangered species various naturalistic habitats, which include Predator Ridge, Tropical Discovery, Primate Panorama and Dragons of Komodo exhibit. Denver zoo also provides various other services, which include animal care, exhibitions, conservation programs, scientific study, environmental education and public services. The zoo offers a wide range of children activities, including birthday parties, carousel and train rides. It is part of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is located in Denver.
