Denver Women's Correctional Facility (DWCF) is one of two correctional facilities for women in the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC). Built in 1998, DWCF is the largest facility for female inmates in CDOC, housing inmates at all custody levels. It offers unique programs and responsibilities, including housing pregnant inmates, inmates with high medical and mental health needs, and a Residential Treatment Program for inmates with severe mental health treatment needs.
DWCF has a capacity of 984 beds and also houses female parolees participating in the Alternative Stabilization Assistance Program (ASAP). It provides various visiting options, including in-person visiting on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as video visiting. Visiting appointments are required and can be arranged by phone or email.
