The Colorado Community College System, also known as CCCS, is one of the largest systems of higher education in the state of Colorado. It administers various academic programs in community colleges for more than 105,000 students every year. The system also oversees over 2,000 secondary and postsecondary career and technical programs in nearly 150 school districts throughout the state. The Colorado Community College System s academic curriculum includes programs in the areas of mechanics, health science, computers, film and video. It maintains several departments, including communications, human resources, information technology and legal affairs. It also has a finance and administration department that performs various functions related to accounting, payroll, accounts payable, internal audit and budgeting. The Colorado Community College System is governed by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE). It maintains a location in Denver.
