History
When I was younger, living in the country with my parents, nutrition was not a concern. We ate Elk or Deer, potatoes and veggies for dinner every evening. As my life moved on, so did my diet. I worked in the restaurant industry, and processed food became my staple. I was gaining weight and losing energy. Eventually, I decided to tackle my weight and fatigue and CrossFit became my world. It took a year, but the weight began to come off. When it did, my energy and joy for life returned. Then one day, I felt like something just wasn't right. I went in for a checkup, and was diagnosed with cancer. And I realized that I needed more than exercise to care for my body. Nutrition was a major player in my victory over cancer. And in the CrossFit world, nutrition means Paleo. What is a Paleo diet? Paleo is the diet of our ancestors-meat, vegetables, fruit, seeds and nuts.
