Hunters Glen Elementary School
Hunters Glen Elementary School offers academic services to more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school teaches a variety of subjects, such as computer technology, language arts, special education, foreign language, English, math, science and social studies. It has a library media center that provides access to more than 1,000 magazines, newspapers, books, maps, pictures, radio and TV transcripts, and English and Spanish encyclopedias. The school has a staff of more than 50 full-time certified teachers, including a reading interventionist, early childhood specialist, psychologist, occupational therapist, school nurse, and speech and language therapist. Hunters Glen Elementary School maintains a student council that assists students with various topics that include friendship and social skills, family issues, grief, self-esteem, anger management, drug abuse prevention, social skills training and career.
