History
Center's Medal of Honor Museum is located on the beautiful Arkansas Riverwalk in downtown Pueblo Colorado. The Gallery is home to our featured exhibit, the Portraits of Valor, a humbling display of 157 unique photographic portraits of our Nation's Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. We are proud to be the only location outside of the Pentagon where this collection can be viewed in its entirety. The dramatic photos and accompanying stories and quotes provide inspiration for all who visit. Since opening the Gallery in 2010 we have hosted over 100,000 visitors and nearly 50,000 students have participated in our educational programs. The Gallery is also home to a World Trade Center Steel Memorial. Donated in 2012 by the New York City Fire Department, this piece of American history stands at the Center's entrance as a reminder of the heroic actions of the first responders and in memory of all those lost on September 11, 2001.
