The Canon City Fire District provides emergency response, fire prevention and community education to more than 35,000 residents. The agency works in cooperation with area ambulance, sheriff and forest service departments. Its list of rescue equipment includes ladder trucks, engines, hazardous material vehicles and water tenders. The Canon City Fire District also offers emergency medical and paramedic services.
