Built in 1998, the Briargate YMCA, also known as the Briargate Family Center, provides a range of social and recreational services and programs for children, families and communities in Colorado Springs in Colorado. The organization offers personal growth, child care, recreational and referral services. It has gymnasiums, as well as offers opportunities for members to participate in various sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. The Briargate YMCA features a conditioning center that is equipped with cardiovascular and weight equipment. The organization also administers swimming lessons and water exercise programs. It provides instruction in kickboxing, yoga and Pilates. The Briargate YMCA is a part of the YMCA of The Pikes Peak Region, which is a nonprofit, Christian-based organization.
