HistoryI started Navigator to sell maps in an unused corner of my husband's design firm in Sept. of 1995. I quickly realized the space was too small and leased the space next door and was ready for the summer visitors in 1996. It started out as a map store with some books, then the books took over and gifts came along. The kid section started with 2 cans holding 3 juggle bears and juggle moose and expanded from there. Kids, moms, teachers aqnd grandparents love the selection. We built our building and moved to our current location in 2002. That doubled the size, but I quickly filled it up.SpecialtiesBCN is half book store and half gift shop. We have a wide selection of books on hiking, jeeping, birds, flowers, local history, and some best sellers. Great maps of the area. Gifts range from kids books and toys to art supplies, jewelry, chimes, socks and many items suitable to leave as a hostess gift or to take back to that person watching the house or plants or critters. We have a large selection of greeting cards and journals, too. I have changed the mix of items in the store by listening to my customers. We try to answer whatever questions folks have and if we don't have an answer, we find out and share. Try us. We special order items and drop ship to help our visitors and locals alike.
