The Alyssa Cares Foundation, based in Lone Tree, CO, was founded with the mission to inspire and foster a lifelong love for literacy among children in need. Over the course of 15 years, the foundation has distributed an impressive count of 52,000 books, aiming to put them in the hands and homes of those who require them the most. Unfortunately, due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation has made the difficult decision to cease operations, as personal visits to elementary schools to share Alyssa's passion for reading have become nearly impossible.
Throughout its existence, the Alyssa Cares Foundation has been deeply grateful for the support it has received from the community. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the foundation has strived to honor the memory of Alyssa, who had a profound love for reading and left behind her own writings and illustrations. By sharing her passion with as many children as possible, especially those in need, the foundation aimed to make a positive impact on their lives and instill in them the joy of reading.
