Founded in 1967, The Zen Center of Los Angeles is a Buddhist temple, providing the teachings and practice of Zen Buddhism. Located in Los Angeles, Calif., it accommodates all people, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, physical and mental ability, race, religion, sexual orientation and socio-economic background. The Zen Center of Los Angeles observes a daily schedule of zazen, Buddhist services, and work. The center's programs include introductory classes, sesshin, workshops and training periods, as well as face-to-face meetings with center teachers. The Zen Center of Los Angeles practices koan training in the Maezumi-Glassman lineage and has affiliations with Westchester Zen Circle, Ocean Moon Sangha and The Valley Sangha.
