Hello and Welcome. I have over a decade of practice in individual, adolescent, and couples therapy. I specialize in treating mood or anxiety difficulties, trauma, childhood trauma, chronic pain and illnesses, relational difficulties, life stressors, or life and identity transitions. My passion is to help you breathe freely; experiencing relief, resilience, self-compassion, and increased emotional freedom. We often learn strategies through life to keep us safe, but those strategies may hold us back in our present. It is in our relationships that we learned these strategies; it is through a therapeutic relationship that we heal. With expertise in multiple evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, relational, mindfulness-based, and existential), I tailor my approach to that most helpful for you. Together, we work to identify the core issues binding you. We all struggle in life at times, and support is available to significantly reduce distress. My practice philosophy is that our current behaviors and emotions make sense and serve a function. We are all doing the best we can with the resources we have. With compassion and gentle feedback, we work to uncover what function our behaviors and feelings are playing, process and honor them, and identify alternate modes of meeting our needs.
