The YWCA Santa Monica/Westside wast established in 1926 as a nonprofit organization that provides services to women and children based in West Los Angeles. The organization provides assistance through fitness and health classes, education for parents, athletic programs for girls and assistance in the fields of housing, education, child development and cancer support. Classes and programs offered include drawing, martial arts, financial, literary and support groups for parents. Scholarship opportunities for classes in exchange for volunteer work are available on a first come, first served basis.
