History
Wounded Warrior Homes was founded in 2009 by Steve and Mia Roseberry and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in August, 2010. Steve and Mia were looking for ways to serve the community in a bigger way. Steve is a general contractor and home inspector and Mia a special education teacher. Both are real estate investors. Housing was a natural progression and they live in a military community. Who better to serve then the military! They contacted Camp Pendleton's Wounded Warrior Battalion and asked them how they could help and what they might need. The Wounded Warrior Battalion responded that there was the need for long term transitional housing for single service members with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress. Wounded Warrior Homes was born. There are over 433,000 Wounded Warriors who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury of all severities and 13.8% of veterans will be diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress.
