The Fire Department is governed by the city of Woodland in California. The department, operational for more than 120 years, maintains fire prevention and operations divisions. It protects an area of over 55 square miles and offers firefighting services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Fire Department s Community Emergency Response Team provides support for emergencies and disasters. The department offers public safety and rescue solutions. It maintains fire stations and responds to nearly 3,000 emergency medical calls per year. The Fire Department provides 911 and basic life support services. In addition, the department offers fire extinguishing, community preparedness and public education solutions.
