History
Conrad Woodall trained in martial arts for over 22 years and worked in early childhood education. As a Sacramento police officer he was able to discover - first hand - what works in a violent encounter and what doesn't. His work with victims of rape and domestic violence gave him a unique perspective and spurred his deep commitment to stop violence against women and children. He developed the curriculum for this practical, reality-based school, then returned to school himself to get his master's degree in criminal psychology. In his graduate work, Conrad researched and developed a self defense-based empowerment program designed to integrate with traditional therapeutic modalities for survivors of violence related trauma. As a result, he has been referred individual clients from victim service agencies, sex trafficking shelters & the UCD Med Center Chronic Pain Clinic. Conrad and his highly trained staff also provide seminars to organizations, schools, churches, and businesses.
