Dr. Willie Brien is the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Director of Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Surgery. His specialty is disorders of the hip and knee. In addition, Dr. Brien is Mayor of Beverly Hills and served as a Commissioner to California State Health Policy Commission. From 2008 through 2009, he was Cedars-Sinai Chief of Staff. Dr. Brien is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Willie Brien has won several prestigious awards over his career including the Otto Aufranc Research Award in 1991 and the Philip D. Wilson Research Award in 1989. He has also been published in more than 50 scientific publications, abstracts and book chapters, as well as more than 100 regional national and international scientific presentations.
