Wide Eyes Open Palms, aka WEOP, is a specialty coffee shop and seasonal foods cafe. All pastries are baked in house, each morning. The driving force behind this vision is Kat Laukat-McIver and Angie Evans. Both owners have over a decade of experience in the service industry and always knew that they wanted to create a coffee shop/cafe of their own to share their unique visions and gifts with the Long Beach community. Sourcing from farmers we know, grown as close as possible, and using the highest quality and organic ingredients is important to us! Bread is sourced locally and made daily. All pastries are made in-house and use organic ingredients. We use Clover Organic Milk, Housemade Almond Milk for our drink options. We use compostable to-go products and compost coffee, tea and food waste at local farms. We will always strive to source the most high quality, organic and local ingredients. Why? Knowing where our food comes from and preparing it with love is important to us.

We're now open Thursday-Sunday! We are a Specialty Coffee and Seasonal Food Cafe located at 416 Cherry Ave in sunny Long Beach, CA. One barista and one chef, passionate about seasonality and sustainability, living the dream. We are feminists and food activists who believe in bringing quality food and beverages to our community, which then supports local farmers and coffee producers around the world. Prioritizing local and sustainable sourcing means that our menus will be changing with the seasons and the farmers market availability. We intend to serve you and live each day with Wide Eyes & Open Palms.
