Eli Harari founded SanDisk Corporation, one of the world s largest suppliers of flash memory data storage card products, in 1988. In November 1995, SanDisk became a publicly traded company. The company has approximately 900 employees worldwide and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif. SanDisk sells products through both retail and original equipment manufacturer channels. Its products are sold through more than 100,000 retail storefronts worldwide. SanDisk designs, develops, manufactures and markets flash storage card products used in a variety of electronic systems. Flash storage cards allow data to be stored in a compact, removable format. The company s flash card products help drive the mass market for sales of digital cameras, multimedia mobile phones, flash drives and other digital consumer devices. Eli Harari has been the chief executive officer of SanDisk for more than 18 years. He has been with the company for over 18 years, and is the founder of the company. Harari earned a BS from Manchester University and was granted a PhD from Princeton.
