Operational for more than 35 years, the Western Center on Law and Poverty is a law firm that offers services to low-income individuals throughout California. It educates, advocates and litigates clients on health, housing and public benefit issues. The firm also provides research assistance, training programs, educational materials and advice to community-based advocates, pro bono lawyers, health clinics, government officials and media. Additionally, it offers training for advocates in housing, health care and welfare law. The firm accepts donations from law firms, individual attorneys, corporations and foundations.
