West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation develops safe and affordable housing for people with limited income. The nonprofit corporation has developed more than a dozen projects in the area, with a goal of adding 40 more units per year. Properties are either built or acquired and rehabilitated by the organization, then managed using an enhanced management model that provides extra support and services for residents. Most residents are elderly or disabled on fixed or limited incomes. Funding comes from municipal, state, federal and private sources. The corporation moved to its present location in 2010. This location is also one of the housing developments, Sierra Bonita Apartments, featuring 42 units in a mixed-use building with environmentally sound green building features.
