In our on-site purification system, tap water goes through a multi-step process including softening, carbon filtering, reverse osmosis and ultra-violet light to remove the impurities. The result is a great tasting water that is local and affordable - - not trucked in from another state or country! We are licensed and regulated by the Food and Drug Branch of the State of California Department of Health Services. And yes, our water is sodium free! The purification process at Water Wise:*1) 5 micron prefilter removes rust, silt, sand and other heavy sediment.*2) Ion exchanger to remove calcium and magnesium; conditioning the water by neutralizing the hard mineral salts.*3) Three Cubic Foot Back-Washing carbon filter absorbs and removes herbicides, pesticides, organic chemicals and chlorine.*4) Reverse osmosis rejects any dissolved impurities. Removes turbidity, particulate and colloidal matter, ionized and nonionized dissolved solids, mineral salts, bacteria, viruses, pyrox enes, aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides, asbestos, sodium and chemicals.*5) Storage containers are equipped with a one micron sediment airborne filter to keep any particles from entering the tanks. They all fill and dispense together so our water is never left "standing" in a tank.*6) Upon exiting the storage tanks, the water is repressurized and goes through an ultraviolet light.*7) In the final stage prior to being dispensed, the water passes through a carbon filter for "polishing".
