California Dairies is one of the leading dairy cooperatives in the United States. The company was established following the merger of three dairy cooperatives in California: California Mild Producers, Danish Creamery and San Joaquin Valley Dairymen. It manufactures and supplies butter to major food producers in sizes ranging from large bulk boxes to small cups for restaurant dining. In addition, the company markets dry milk powders through DairyAmerica that include nonfat dry milk, dry buttermilk and dry whole milk. It operates approximately five dairy production plants and is a member of the National Milk Producers Milk Federation and the American Dairy Products Institute.
