History
Veritas Christian Academy opened its doors for its founding 9th grade class in September 2004. By June 2008, that class graduated from high school, while its first kindergarteners graduated to begin 1st grade. However, Veritas was never quite able to bring in enough tuition and donation funding to pay for the cost of a high quality K-12 classical Christian education and was compelled to close its doors in June 2011. In all, 11 high school students graduated from Veritas, and about 150 other students were affiliated with the school (either full-time, part-time or via home school PSP) at some point over the course of its seven years in operation. The first graduating class at Veritas averaged SAT scores among the top private schools in the county. The school's athletic teams competed for five years, participating in the Bay Area Athletic League for the last four years.
