Founded in 1970, the Ventura Regional Sanitation District, also known as VRSD, is an enterprise public waste management agency that provides a range of integrated regional waste treatment and disposal services. The district serves more than 600,000 individuals in Ventura County in California. It operates several wastewater treatment facilities. The Ventura Regional Sanitation District also maintains and operates on-site wastewater treatment, sewer collection and potable water systems. It offers engineering support, grant acquisition and management, industrial paint and coating and manhole rehabilitative services. The Ventura Regional Sanitation District is a member of California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
