The Valley Mountain Regional Center serves children and adults with developmental disabilities in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties in California. The agency provides diagnosis and assessment services for mental illnesses, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and autism. It offers early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays. The Valley Mountain Regional Center provides genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis services for women at risk of giving birth to a child with developmental disability. In addition, the agency offers research-based behavioral treatment programs for children suffering from autistic spectrum disorders between the ages of 1 and 5. It provides occupational, physical and speech therapies. The Valley Mountain Regional Center offers a range of recreational activities that include dancing, swimming, and arts and crafts.
