Founded in 1970, the USC School for Early Childhood Education program is operated by the University of Southern California and serves more than 600 low-income children and families. With a location in Los Angeles, the program provides child development, mental health and nutritional food services. It also offers home-based health care and family education services for pregnant women, infants and toddlers. The Early Childhood Education program provides evening school and adult literacy services for families. The program organizes socialization sessions for families with similar-aged children to interact with each other. In addition, it offers the English as a Second Language program for parents.
