The University of California, also known as UCLA, has an enrollment of more than 26,900 undergraduate and over 11,500 graduate students. The university has a staff of nearly 4,000 teachers. Founded in 1919, it occupies approximately 400 acres of space. The University of California offers degree programs in humanities, social studies and life sciences.
