The Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio city has been in the community for more than 60 years. It was founded by minister Herb Schneider and a few early members, who bought the land and did much of the building construction themselves. The church has more than 120 members, and is open to people who are doubters, mixed-faith married or partnered couples, gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered members and people of other faiths. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio city is an inclusive and welcoming church. The grounds are well-kept and resemble a park with trees , greenery and benches. The facility has an assembly hall, and a classic sanctuary with a grand piano
