The Union City Historical Museum was established in 2001. Housed in an old fire station, the small museum is stocked with a wealth of local artifacts and information. Those with ancestry in the area can trace their genealogy by checking citizenry records dating back to the 1800s. The museum also has clips of every Union City–related news article from local publications, with stories filed in specific-category binders. The museum's collection includes pieces from the old Union City Drive-in Theater, items from old businesses and donated heirlooms; displays allow visitors to learn about the history of the city's police, government and industry. Those who'd like to take a bit of Union City history home with them can purchase "Union City through the Years" and "Union City Historical Museum Oral History Book."
