Established in 1988, Turning Point Foundation is a community-based, nonprofit organization that serves the needs of people with mental and psychological disorders. It provides a range of services through its residential, rehabilitative, social and supportive housing programs. The organization also serves people suffering from various emotional disorders due to job loss, homelessness, isolation, addiction, incarceration and thoughts of suicide. Turning Point Foundation offers community living skill groups, arts and recreation therapy activities, and vocational assessment and paid work training services. Its facility includes a community garden, newspaper recycling workshop and computer learning centers. The organization partners with Affinity Bank, California Endowment, Catholic Healthcare West Foundation and Livingston Memorial Foundation. It is located in Ventura, Calif.
