The Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, is a program available through the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Social Services Department. TANF is a social services program that provides assistance to Native American families with children in Tuolumne, Calaveras and Stanislaus Counties. We offer a 5 year program supported by temporary financial assistance, with a foundation in educational incentives and work opportunities, to lead families to self sufficiency. TMWTT opened our doors in December of 2015 with our main office in Sonora, CA and have satellite sites in cities of Modesto and San Andreas, CA. Traditional values and cultural awareness is our focus as we serve the Native community with a determination to support, educate and guide our clients along the path to self sufficiency.
