Trinks was established in the Coastal town of Gualala in 2003 by restaurateur Kathleen Woodward. The friendly atmosphere is known by Gualalans (locals) and visitors alike as a place to meet friends, sip on a cup of cappuccino or espresso, enjoy a delectable snack or have lunch while enjoying the breathtaking view of the north coast. Everything is prepared with love using the finest of ingredients incorporating an ensemble of local, seasonal and organic products whenever possible. (Yes the "mom's turkey" is really Mom's homemade cranberry sauce!) Locals gather to enjoy a cup of aromatic Flying Goat Specialty Roast Coffee from a local roasting house in nearby Healdsburg, or treat themselves with a cone of freshly made gelato by Gelati Pazzo Marco made right here in gualala with local organic milk, cream and eggs. Kathleen "Trink", a former preschool teacher while putting her two children through college started baking for her sister-in-law's restaurant a few miles away in Anchor Bay. Eventually she began renting the ovens in the restaurant to make cheesecakes and desserts to sell to local grocery stores. Quickly the demand for such flavorful food grew to become what exists today as Trinks. Although Trink herself oversees the business it his her son Ross and daughter-in-law Dionely, both graduates of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, who create tend and care to the daily operations of making this family owned business to be among the best places enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
