History
Little People, a children's clothing store, was opened in 1977 by Totsi Beck w/ The Toy Store next door ran by her husband Peter. In 1980 the two stores became 1 when they moved a block East to 383 Main street. After 35yrs they decided to sell. Enter the Kitchens family from Los Angeles. Johnny Mansell made a phone call to his aunt Leah. A Quincy native, Leah spent half her life living in SoCal. Married her husband Matthew in 2001. Now with 4 children under 10 and 1 on the way, life in L.A. had become less of what the Kitchens were looking for. The 60 hr work week in TV for Matthew had lost it's appeal. Home Schooling 4 (soon to be 5) kids for Leah was more than a full time job! So, with a desire to spend more time together as a family, the Kitchens agreed to buy The Toy Store in Quincy. They took over full time ownership of The Toy Store on October 20th, 2014. It is by far the single largest life change their family has ever experienced.
