The Thousand Oaks Public Works Department is responsible for the management of complete public infrastructure system, which includes streets, storm drains and traffic signals. It provides engineering services on capital projects and maintains records of all subdivisions and assessment districts. In addition, the department provides services, such as backflow prevention, construction of water applications and fleet services. It also issues grading, industrial waste discharge and encroachment permits to the residents of Thousand Oaks region in California. The department also manages the operation of drinking water and wastewater systems.
