Thomas Kinkade is known for being a painter of light. Whether a lantern or street light, his paintings render lit spaces strategically to create a world full of life. The inspiration? Kinkade, an only child, was often delivered home by hired help to a dark house, due to his parent's absence. His paintings represent a happy at-home feeling– as the artist would have wanted it to be. His art has struck a cord with many collectors; Disney, in fact, has commissioned Kinkade to include some of its most famous graphic characters, such as Snow White, and Mickey Mouse in a new series of paintings. The gallery, established in 2009, also features Boyd's Bears, books, calendars, and collectibles.
