History
Chef Tucker Rigsby attended the Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York, although his passion for food and entertaining has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. He has studied food abroad in Italy, and has a deep appreciation for rustic farm food. He has also studied cooking in the Caribbean, and enjoys developing unique and bold flavors. The South is like a second home for Chef Tucker. He spent many years working in some of the finest and most notable Southern restaurants in Charleston, SC. He has had the privilege to work with and learn alongside many highly respected chefs. He and his team have now created The Violet Doe, named after his daughter. The restaurant is all about introducing people to different cuisines and cultures in a casual, comfortable environment.
