The Village Pantry replaced Mort's Deli, purchased by former Los Angeles Mayor, and friend of Mort's, Richard Riordan. The menu features a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast, served until 5pm most days, includes egg dishes, omelets, continental breakfast and lox and bagel. Lunch sandwiches include a choice of French fries, sweet potato fries, mixed greens or one of the cold case pasta salads displayed at the counter. Dinner features appetizers and entrees of mostly Italian food, like bolognese, chicken parmigiana and gourmet pizzas. Homestyle meatloaf is also available for dinner. Many desserts and pastries are available along with French-pressed hot teas. A full bar is available from the Oak Room next door, also owned by Riordan.
