History
Erected in 1867, it was the first non-native dwelling in Crockett. From 1953 to 1973, Crockett Parks and Recreation assumed control and began using it as an Event Venue. The Carquinez Women's Club (CWC) was instrumental in the push for The Old Homestead to become State Historical Landmark #731 in 1960. Since 1974 the CWC has been honored to be at the helm to preserve and maintain The Old Homestead, while continuing to offer its use as an Event Venue. The most recent renovation, accomplished with help from Organizations such as the Crockett Community Foundation, was completed in April 2017.
