The Museum of Jurassic Technology is located on Venice Boulevard, at the corner of Main, on the north side of the street. The museum's entrance is a tiny, nondescript door easily missed because of the adjacent hardwood flooring store. Don't show up just any old time, as the museum hours are limited and should be checked before visiting. The museum claims to serve a dual role: offering academics an opportunity to review and artifacts from the Jurassic era, while introducing the public to the relics of the period. Complimentary tea and cookies are available one hour before and after the front desk opens and closes. The museum is non-profit and suggests amounts for donations. The museum has a wide variety of rotating exhibits and collections. Check the website for more detailed information. They do have a gift shop and bookstore.
