History
The Homework Club has helped lower income families since 2001. It was founded by Marla Berg-Vivit after being laid off from the computer industry in 2000 where she worked for 16 years at Sun Microsystems, Inc. in various positions, including Systems Administrator and Sybase Database Support Engineer. She had received her Master's Degree in Education and a California Teaching Credential in 2008. The Homework Club started out as a large home childcare, running for about 10 years, and when she started to substitute teach in 2009, she started to provide tutoring services.
