History
Teen Challenge is a 12-month recovery program that provides help to those struggling with destructive and abusive lifestyles such as drug and alcohol addiction. Teen Challenge has three homes in the Bay Area, two in Nevada and two in Humboldt County, dedicated to assisting men, women, children, teenagers, and entire families who are on the road to recovery. Teen Challenge teaches people how to regain control of their lives and become productive citizens of our community. This program reaches out to those who would otherwise be living on the streets. Future generations are influenced positively as Teen Challenge makes an impact on the entire family. Teen Challenge is in the business of transforming lives and Teen Challenge Thrift Stores play a key role in the recovery process, as students gain practical employment skills by assisting the store manager with merchandise sorting, pricing, cleaning, and retail counter sales.
